This project has been my most advanced Flash Developmet to date, and working with MK's IT Department, it has grown in both scale and complexity over the past couple of years.
The Flight & Crew Planning screens are Flash MX 2004 Applications fed by XML data form a SQL Server database.
They were used initially, projected on a wall, by the MK Operations department to plan the movenents of their fleet of DC-10s and 747s and Crew around the world. They are also now being made available company wide through their intranet and globally through their extranet, increasing communication significantly.
The screens really stretched the capabilities of Flash to the limit and during their development much has been learned about application development in Flash and best of ways of processing & displaying large amounts of data.
